Now Our Countdown Begins

 Now Our Countdown Begins

We made through it through those Silent Nights and countdown to the New
Year. We've cried the tears of loneliness while everyone else cheered. Now
we share a countdown of our very own It consist of shopping for new
curtains and sheets for our home it's full of appointments at the mechanics
for tune ups and oil changes. It's trips to the mall for those perfect
outfits for the kids and ourselves. and that special outfit from Victoria
Secrets for that specail first night. It means that weekly trip to the
commisary means two shopping carts instead of one basket we have become so
used to. Our countdown means due to hands and knees cleaning at home we
must schedule that appointment at the hair and nail salon.

Durning our countdown we lay in bed at night feeling like teenage girls
waiting for Prom night. We worry if we've gained to much weight and even
though we know that man better then he knows hisself we worry if the man
that will step off the plane or ship will be the same that we waved goodbye
to that long time ago and you wonder if he will love the strong independent
woman you have become during all those lonely months. Even though you worry
you fall asleep with a smile on your face knowing during the next 59 days
and a wake up no matter what comes your way it will all be over soon and at
the end of OUR countdown instead of heartburn and hangovers there will be
hugs and kisses and passoinate nights and we will sit back watching that
man play with his children and know it was all worth it.
